Purpose:

A petition to start Members United Credit Union was filed with the Georgia Secretary of State in August 1981. The petition was granted and the official credit union charter was signed on October 30th 1981 and we started operation August 28th 1983. We celebrate our annual meeting 4th Tuesday of each year. It is open to the full membership.

The original membership was open to MUC staff and Tom's Foods employees plus their family members related by blood, marriage, or adoption. We have just opened our field of membership to include Muscogee County residence and their family members.
